Chelsie

Hi, my name is Chelsie Soberanis. I was born and raised in Belize. I got a scholarship to study Public Relations at Western Kentucky University and moved to the US at the end of 2019. During my studies I worked at PBS as a Master Control Operator.

What's your favorite part about your position?

My favorite part of my position is the privilege that I get to lead and mentor people. Seeing people where they start and then seeing them hit their goals is the most rewarding part of my career.

What's the best advice you've gotten in our business?

The best advice I've gotten in our business is to focus on small wins because it'll lead to huge wins. It's my favorite advice because as someone that has big long term goals it's easy to get stuck in not seeing the huge results right away, so focusing on the little successes have helped to keep me motivated in moving forward to hitting those big goals.

What are your goals?

My biggest goal professionally is to develop and coach 8 people through our manager in training program by the end of 2025. My biggest goal personally is to pay off my student loans and be debt free by the end of 2025. Overall, my big long term goals are to retire my parents and build businesses and opportunities to employee and create jobs for people in Belize.

Where is your favorite place to travel?

My favorite place to travel is Belize, it is my home so I am biased but I believe it's the most beautiful place on Earth.

What are some of your hobbies?

I enjoy traveling and going to concerts with my best friends.
